Common Issue 1:

Solution: Calibrate the E58.
It is good practice to calibrate the E58 , before every usage ,or when it suffered any previous " crashes"
Note : Please place E58 on a flat ground before you calibrate .

You can reset the Eachine E58’s gyro settings in two different ways, either using the remote control or through the JY UFO phone APP.
Calibrating the Eachine E58 by remote controller
- Step 1: Turn on the remote controller;
- Step 2: Long press the power switch to turn ON the Eachine E58;
- Step 3: Place the drone on a horizontal surface;
- Step 4: Bind the transmitter with the drone by pushing the throttle stick to the highest position, and then pull it back to the lowest position. Solid light will indicate successful bind;
- Final step: Move both sticks to lowest right corner (like in the image above) for about 2-3 seconds. LED lights will start to flash rapidly. Wait few seconds till the lights are solid again and you are done.
Calibrating the Eachine E58 by phone APP
Calibrating the Eachine E58 through APP is even more easier. After you connected to drone with your phone. You need to enter the settings menu (like in the image bellow) and select the “Gyro calibrate” icon. First, the LEDs will start to flash rapidly, than steady on. Finish! That was all, you are done and ready for your next flight 🙂
Common Issue 2: After changing the propellers,the E58 is not able to fly up/fly sideway/fly in circle.
Solution: Check that the propeller alphabet matches picture ( as per page 2 of your instruction manual).
Common Issue 3: Loss of Power and connection while mid flight or upon take off
Solution : If you are using wifi to fly the E58 , ensure wifi connection is strong before you go ahead. We suggest to use the remote controller to control the E58 and using the wifi to fly it fpv.
If you are using the controller to fly the E58 and there is loss of power and connection,check that battery is securely inserted in.
* The " clasp" as circled should be fully inserted into the drone, leaving onlythe horizontal markings visible at the exterior.
If inserted properly,It should look linear at the front of the E58.
Common Issue 4: I am able to start the drone but I do not know how to move the drone in different directions.
Solution : After pairing the drone and launching it successfully in the air,move the control sticks according to the labels below.
Please note that the front of the E58 is the front with the camera ,from the E58 perspective. If you want to fly it in your perspective, activate the headless mode.
Common Issue 5: After a few " crashes", one or more of the motors are dead.
Definition of dead motor: There is no movement on the propeller.
Solution: E58 is a solderless quadcopter which works on a simple plug and play system. You have to unscrew the E58, remove the dead motor and insert a new motor. No special equipment such as soldering gun is required. You will need a screwdriver to unscrew .
Picture above showing removal of faulty motor.
Plug in the new motor and screw back the exterior.
Common Issue 6: After calibration, my e58 is still not able to fly perfectly straight, even in low winds conditions.
Solution : After pairing the E58,please trim the E58, according to the picture below. Page 4 of instruction manual.
In short, if the quad drifts to the right, u tune to the left and vice versa according to the direction it drifts.

Hi all who are not able to connect your e58 to your phone but able to control the e58 via the remote controller,
please update the firmware of your phone.
delete the jy ufo app and download again on ur phone
if still cant work, try another mobile device.
Unfortunately, e58 doesn’t work on all phones
I am able to fly the drone with the controller, but I am not able to pair my phone with the device. Because I am not able to pair with the phone, I have not been able to access any of the camera functions or controls. No live view on screen, nothing. I have watched many troubleshooting videos and have gone through the process of: turn on wifi, pair with drone, go to JY UFO app, turn on “preview 720p” in app settings, and click play. When I click play, there is no live feed through the drone camera and I cannot use the phone to control the drone. Video functionality is a major reason I chose to start with this drone instead of other comparable ones.
Could I please have a new e 58 sent to me?

I have two of the "Collapsible Quadrocopter 2.4GHZ —they came in little leather cases—-that I cannot get the camera to come on with both of them!!!! The op manual is terrible and I could find anyone on YouTube for a fix.

Hi guys, my new out of the box e58 shows red LED lights at the front as soon as it is switched on. It has paired successfully with controller and WIFI is connected but has no camera feed to my phone through the app . Many thanks
Hi…my chinese e58 doesn’t ever allow me to use the drone through JY UFO app. It shows a wifi signal…allows me to connect to wifi….then soon as i press “play”, i get no live feed and the controller section does zilch. I have troubleshot everything…checked app permissions, etc etc….used different phones to try see live feed. Am out of ideas now, any suggestions?
I can’t connect my phone via WIFI with the drone. It keeps coming up as no internet connection.

Sascha- Your camera is assembled upside down. you can disassemble the drone and assemble the camera correctly. Only need to unscrew
Bob- Are you able to pair? If lights blink, it can also mean low battery or battery spoilt.
Louis- the photo n video cam is interchangeable.You have to click the camera icon to change to the video cam function

My new e58 at first flew properly. After a couple of minor crashes, can’t calibrate and lights continuous flashing. Motors don’t work.
Hi, Got the E58 this afternoon.
One problem that I encountered is that there is no live video on the app. Instruction manual said using Eachine FPV app and some in Youtube using JYUFO. Both apps can control the E58 and both have no video.
Can anyone share their experience on how to rectify my problem.

Could you check whether the propellers are placed correctly?
Also try to calibrate the drone.
If all 4 propellers are spinning, it is unlikely that it is spoilt.

May I know did you encounter the same issue when you pair with your mobile device to fly the drone, instead of using the remote controller.
If both mobile device and remote controller give you the same set of problems, you need to change the flight controller of your e58.
If only the remote controller has the problem,then u just need to get a new remote controller.

1) the battery is inserted in properly?

If you are sure that the battery is inserted in properly, most likely either your the flight controller is spoilt or the battery is spoilt. Does the battery feel extremelyhot and is puffy when charged?it is a sign that the battery is spoilt
Try with another e58 battery.
If a new piece of battery doesn’t help, then you need to change the flight controller( circuit board) of the e58
Hi,
I have been using eachine e58 drone for about 6 months now. Didn’t had any problem, but recently it have started to give problem. The drone loses control for few seconds and then gets back in control eg. If I give forward command and leave the joystick it will keep moving forward. Sometimes it will just lose power in the mid air and fall down. Also the range to how far it can go has reduced to about 30 meters and I lose control of it beyond that. I always calibrate the drone before flying.
Can you please let me know if the fault is in remote control or the circuit board inside the drone. Had opened the drone to check for any lose connection but everything seems to be fine.

My drone won’t power on at all.
I have charged the battery to the fullest and with a long press on the power sign on the drone, It won’t power on at all. I just took delivery of the E58 on the 25th of April 2019 via hyperstech

Please do the below
1) Check that the propellers are placed correctly.
2) If propellers are placed correctly,calibrate the drone.
3) If both (1) and (2) doesnt work,most likely the motor is spoilt.
You can just unscrew the e58 , remove the spoilt motor and put in a new one.
