RAMS for aerial activity
The Operator shall take all necessary measures and precautions to ensure that the flights of the
unmanned aircraft will not pose a hazard to and / or cause injury or death to persons and / or damage to
properties. Such measures shall include but not limited to the following:
i. The Operator shall ensure that the unmanned aircraft operation is entirely confined within the
area as submitted and shall not exceed maximum operating height specified in this permit at all
times. The Operator shall ensure that the unmanned aircraft maintain an adequate safety
distance and not overfly all persons, public road, vehicle and structures that are not
involved in the unmanned aircraft activity. This includes the launch and recovery of the
unmanned aircraft and in the eventuality of a lost link situation between the unmanned aircraft pilot
and the unmanned aircraft;
ii. The Operator shall ensure that the unmanned aircraft does not interfere with the emergency
services or public transport providers and shall not endanger or cause distraction to the members
of public;
iii. The Operator shall use enhanced lighting on the unmanned aircraft for greater visibility for lowlight
or night operation;
iv. The Operator shall ensure that the Remote Pilot or Remote Observer(s) maintains visual
contact with the unmanned aircraft at all times;
v. The Remote Observer(s) shall relay critical flight information and assist the Remote Pilot in
maintaining safe separation from any static or dynamic obstacles;
vi. The Operator shall ensure that the Remote Pilot and the Remote Observer(s) are adequately
trained to perform EVLOS operations;
vii. The Operator shall ensure that the unmanned aircraft maintain sufficient separation with other
unmanned aircraft operating within the same area of operation or flight area if any;
viii. The Operator shall ensure that during the conduct of automatic/semi-autonomous operations,
the pilot shall maintain or be able to take over control of the unmanned aircraft if required to ensure
safety;
x. The unmanned aircraft shall not be flown for longer than 85% of the maximum endurance of the
model of unmanned aircraft deployed and an appropriate crew rest cycle for the UA pilot shall be
adhered to at all times; and
xi. The Operator shall cease the unmanned aircraft flight, if necessary, to ensure safety.
